Samaritan House is a local homeless shelter located in Kalispell, Montana that serves the vulnerable unhoused populations of our area. Our facilities host a shelter, transitional apartments, permanent apartments, and a homeless veterans program. At Samaritan House, we believe in fostering dignity and self respect while providing our clients with basic needs such as housing, case management, nutritious food, and a supportive community. We've operated for over 25 years and have grown tremendously in that time! Our staff is made up of incredible and hardworking individuals who have come together to make one phenomenal team. ​​

 

We believe that homelessness isn't a "one size fits all" approach and we take a unique individualized way of supporting each person who enters our doors. Through our shelter program each client is assigned a case manager who works with them directly to create a treatment plan. This collaboration with the client creates a foundation of accountability in which we see higher chances of success for sustained employment, acquisition of housing, and stability as a community member.

The Cowboy Up Auction began 18 years ago and  was created to bring our community together in a way that celebrates our mission while also fostering a sense of gathering. This premier auction allows for our small-town community to gather while showcasing the local businesses of Flathead Valley; each item you will see at the auction is donated by a business in support of our mission. We are firm believers that our community is what is the foundation to being successful. Annually our fellow neighbors come together to enjoy a night of food, drink, music, and a live and silent auction! All proceeds from our annual auction go directly towards the general operations of our shelter. This means your purchase of auction items helps directly empower change in someone else's life. Your participation is meaningful and invaluable.
